Vulcan is the Roman form of the Greek god Haphaestus
Haphaestus was lame and a blacksmith (with no sword)
Vulcan should have no sword
Don't believe what the pictures on the Vulcan flyers and the Vulcan statue depict.
Vulcan is no god of war. He had no great self confidence or appearance.
The only things he should be holding are blacksmith's tools.
Haphaestus was disfigured, rather like Cal's campus during these constant
stages of construction.
